Dan: For the newbies, Kapota is a private
hunting preserve with a firing range just northwest of Rockford near the
Wisconsin border. For quite a few years, the Vets Club would meet there
on Fathers Day weekend for a campout.
Matt Marshall is a member of Kapota and will be
there on Saturday morning if anyone wants to roll in early. Otherwise,
show up around noon to set up camp.
Activities will include your favorite beverage,
some food, your favorite beverage, catching up on what we've been doing,
your favorite beverage, re-telling (with some embellishment) favorite
old-timer vet tales to the newbies, and your favorite beverage.
Occasionally someone brings beverages that no one likes, but our Vets
Club code compels us to drink them anyway.
Bring something to drink, some snacks if you
want, something for dinner (we'll have a fire), a tent (some have slept
in their cars), and a sleeping bag. A generous supply of insect
repellent would be advisable.
Females are very welcome, but this is probably
not the place for kids.
We'll break camp on Sunday morning and caravan
to somewhere for breakfast before heading home.
Please RSVP to me if you plan to be there. |
