About us > Photo Galleries > Homecoming 2004 (7 pics) An annual tradition, the NIU Veterans Club tailgated together on October 16, 2004, just prior to the NIU Homecoming football game. More than a hundred alumni, actives, family and friends braved the chilly weather to continue the 50th anniversary celebration. There was a lot of food, a lot of drink, and a whole lot of laughs and good times.
